Three Canadian Provinces Hold PNP Draws to Issue Invitations to Apply (ITAs)
British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island invited candidates in the recent PNP draws.
Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs help candidates move closer to permanent residency. All territories and provinces, except for Quebec and Nunavut, hold individual PNP draws to select candidates expressing interest in provincial immigration.
British Columbia issues over 232 ITAs
The February 14 BC PNP draw invited over 232 candidates with certain minimum scores in the following categories.
183 Targeted Tech Occupations candidates in Skilled Worker and International Graduates having minimum scores of 83
29 candidates from the Early Childhood Educators and assistants occupations having a minimum score of 60
20 candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate category of healthcare workers having minimum scores of 60
Saskatchewan Holds First EOI Draw of 2023 Inviting 421 Candidates
The first Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, on February 16, 2023, issued 421 invitations across three categories. The candidates in the International Skilled Worker stream received invitations.
The Express Entry stream of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program issued 177 invitations with a score threshold of 84.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) draw of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) selected 243 candidates for Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the Occupations-in-Demand stream. The candidates with a minimum score of 84 received invitations.
Saskatchewan invited one Ukrainian resident having a minimum score of 65 in response to the ongoing war.
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
Prince Edward Island held PEI PNP draw on February 16, inviting candidates under various streams.
222 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in PEI PNP’s Labor and Express Entry stream
6 ITAs to candidates in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category. The minimum score to receive an invitation in the draw was 70.
Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program helps over 105,500 candidates become permanent residents through various streams. The PNP program supports Canada in improving its economy by bridging labor market gaps to support provincial and territorial development since 1998. Provincial Nominee Program also helps Canada distribute the benefits of immigration across the country and away from the urban centers.
