Recent PNP draws of Ontario and British Columbia Invite 895 Candidates for Permanent Residence

The two provinces held respective PNP draws on Jan 31, 2023, inviting 895 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Ontario PNP

Ontario conducted the sixth draw of the month on January 31, to issue 611 Invitations to Apply under various occupations of the Foreign Worker Stream of Ontario Provincial Nominee Program. The CRS threshold for the draw was 53. The latest draw is 2023’s fourth draw under the Foreign Worker stream.     

BC PNP

The province of British Columbia held the fifth British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program draw on Jan 31, 2023, issuing 284 invitations under skilled immigration. The CRS scores for the recent BC PNP draw ranged between 60 and 85. The eligible candidates have 14 days to apply for permanent residency.

Highlights of PNP Draws in January 

These are province-wise numbers of ITAs in January 2023.

Ontario – 3,591 ITAs

British Columbia – 1,122 ITAs

Manitoba – 658 ITAs

Prince Edward Island – 223 ITAs

Saskatchewan – 50 ITAs

The month witnessed a boost to provincial immigration as five provinces invited 5,644 candidates by conducting 15 provincial nomination draws. The highest contribution came from Ontario. The province held the highest number of PNP draws in the first month of 2023, followed by British Columbia.
