Quebec Invites 1,007 Candidates in the Year’s First RSWP Draw

A new Regular Skilled Worker Program draw on Jan 24, 2024, issued 1,007 invites to candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Candidates expressing their interest in settling in Quebec and fulfilling the eligibility requirements for the Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program qualify for the draw. The eligibility requirements of the RSWP stream are:

Valid job offer 

Minimum French language proficiency of level 7 or higher

Having skilled work experience in a relevant occupation under the National Occupation Classification

Quebec invited 17,408 candidates to apply for permanent residence through 16 RSWP draws in 2023. The invitation rounds under the RSWP stream select the highest-ranking candidates on the selection grid. The criteria for selection comprise age, education, French and English language skills, and work experience.

Bi-weekly draws by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) consider profiles of candidates as per the application inventory and provincial needs. Candidates meeting selection criteria under different streams of immigration to Quebec. Creating an online account, document submission, and interview are a few steps for selection to receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in Quebec.

French language proficiency is mandatory for immigrating to Quebec, a French-speaking province of Canada.
