Prince Edward Island Holds First PNP Draw for the Month

The month’s first Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) draw invited 83 candidates to apply for permanent residence on March 21, 2024.

The new PEI PNP draw issued PR invites to candidates under Labor and Express Entry, and Work Permit Entrepreneur categories. The invitation round issued ITAs to candidates with work experience in the manufacturing, healthcare, and construction sectors.

Prince Edward Island follows the draw schedule by making it public. The recent PEI PNP draw was according to the schedule of the year’s invitation rounds. The province will hold another 23 draws in the year 2024. No Canadian province shares the schedule of provincial nominee program invitation rounds in advance except Prince Edward Island.

Entering the pool of Expression of Interest (EOI) by creating an online profile is the first step to immigrating under various Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) categories. The EOI system ranks profiles on several parameters, including education credentials, age, work experience, and language proficiency.

Prince Edward Island holds periodic invitation rounds to select the top-ranking candidates in the EOI pool. The minimum ranking score for each draw depends upon the profiles in the application inventory. The labor market needs of the province govern the number of candidates receiving PR invites in an invitation round.
