Ontario Issues 822 NOIs in the Latest Express Entry Draw for Healthcare Professionals showing a drop in CRS

Ontario held a new targeted draw on March 9, 2023, inviting 822 candidates under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream.

A total of 822 candidates having employment in health occupations became eligible to receive Notifications of Interest as Ontario conducted a draw for the Human Capital stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The CRS scores ranged between 469 and 489.

The draw focused on 42 healthcare occupations, such as managers and specialists in healthcare, surgeons, dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, general practitioners, veterinarians, and laboratory technicians. Candidates receiving Notifications of Interest (NOIs) in the March 9 draw of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program have 45 days to apply for nomination.

It was the year’s second Human Capital Priorities stream draw, as Ontario conducted the first HCP draw on February 2, 2023. The first HCP draw of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program issued 775 invitations to candidates from health occupations, with scores ranging between 476 and 489. The CRS threshold dropped from 476 to 469 in the latest OINP Express Entry draw on March 9, 2023.

Ontario sent Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to 4,952 candidates in 2023 so far. The province invited 2,724 candidates from the Human Capital Priorities stream and 2,228 candidates from the Skilled Trades stream in 2023 to date.
