Ontario and Prince Edward Island Invite 1167 Candidates in Recent PNP Draws
On July 20, Ontario and Prince Edward Island held invitation rounds for provincial nominations, inviting 1167 candidates.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
Ontario invited 1,061 candidates with active Express Entry profiles under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program’s Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. The two invitation rounds focused on Express Entry profiles between July 20, 2022, and July 20, 2023.
Targeted draw (Tech) – 902 ITAs (CRS range between 458 and 462)
Targeted draw (Healthcare) – 159 ITAs (CRS range between 458 and 462)
The Provincial Nomination will increase the CRS scores of these candidates by 600 points if they accept the Invitation to Apply (ITA) and submit the application within 45 days of receiving the ITA.
Prince Edward Island PNP
The July 20 PEI PNP draw was the first PNP draw of Prince Edward Island in July 2023. The breakup of 106 invitations is:
PEI Labor and Express Entry – 97 ITAs (Minimum EOI score- 50 points)
Business Work Permit Entrepreneur – 9 ITAs (Minimum score- 80 points)
Provincial Immigration pathways
Canada’s provinces and territories operate individual immigration streams in collaboration with the federal government. Provincial Nominee Programs enable provinces to attract new immigrants to meet provincial needs to boost the local economy and labor market. Skilled candidates meeting individual eligibility requirements of the Provincial Nominee Programs have a better chance of receiving provincial nominations.
