New Brunswick Accepting EOIs from International Graduates under New Pathway
The new pathway of the Private Career College Graduate Pilot Program is open for international graduates from New Brunswick.
The New Brunswick Private Career College Graduate Pilot Program helps candidates work and settle in the province. Getting a nomination certificate under the new pathway qualifies the candidate to apply for permanent residency to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It entitles the candidate to work and live in New Brunswick until the IRCC processes their permanent residency application.
The Pilot program opens a new pathway for international graduates studying in specific programs of one or two years and leading to the following careers:
Supply chain and logistics
Business Administration
IT and cybersecurity
Education and social development
Information Technology
These occupations help New Brunswick fill job vacancies in select sectors by providing employers with adequate availability of candidates to meet recruitment challenges.
The province of New Brunswick enables candidates from select private career colleges not eligible to apply for Post-graduation Work Permit (PGWP). These are eligible colleges for the new pathway:
McKenzie College
Oulton College
Atlantic Business College
Eastern College
(Candidates should refer to the most recent list of colleges for better clarity.)
Applying for the Private Career College Graduate Pilot Program
The three stages of approval for applications are:
1. Applying for nomination
Candidates meeting the qualifying criteria should apply online after getting Employer Information Form to confirm support of the New Brunswick employed. The candidates may need to appear for an interview.
2. Applying to the IRCC for Permanent Residency
Candidates who receive the nomination certificate should apply for T13 Work Permit and Permanent Residency Visa to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. Meeting the requirements of admissibility, medical, and security is a must while applying for permanent residency.
3. Maintaining nomination status
Candidates must maintain their nomination status by submitting a declaration within 12 months with documents such as proof of employment and residence.
They should submit a declaration within 18 months (in case of not receiving PR status) to maintain their nomination status.
