Manitoba, Ontario, and British Columbia Invited 960 Candidates in the Recent PNP Draws

In their latest PNP draws, three provinces invited 960 candidates to apply for permanent residence under various streams.

Canada plans to leverage provincial nominee programs targeting 117,500 new permanent residents by 2025. The number of PRs via the PNPs will surpass Express Entry candidates. It will make provincial nomination the most prominent pathway for newcomers exploring permanent residency through Canada’s economic immigration programs.

Manitoba

Ontario plans an investment of $25 million over three years to double the volume of skilled immigrants seeking permanent residency via the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The strategy will help Ontario address its labor shortages bolstering economic growth.

British Columbia

The targeted draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 99 Invitations to Apply on April 11. The draw considered skilled worker and international graduate streams under targeted tech occupations. The minimum score requirement for the draw was 85 points.
