Manitoba Holds the Very First Region-specific Draw Inviting 288 Candidates for Permanent Residency
Manitoba conducted its unique region-specific draw under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program on August 31, 2023.
The latest and first-of-its-kind MPNP draw issued 288 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. These invitations included 127 candidates having active Express Entry profiles. Candidates willing to settle outside the city of Winnipeg and having current employment in the province were eligible for the draw.
Selected candidates with Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles had a minimum score of 600.
Occupation Targeted MPNP Draw
Manitoba invited 256 candidates under the Occupation Targeted draw. The CRS cut-off score was 612 points. Based on Statistics Canada data, the selected occupations align with the province’s labor demands. These occupations comprised:
General Trades, Mail and Message Distribution
Maintenance Workers and other Transport Equipment Operators
Helpers, Laborers, and transport drivers
All Occupations MPNP draw
The draw considered all other occupations besides the above. The All Occupations MPNP draw invited 250 candidates with a minimum CRS score of 646 or more. The International Education stream issued 63 ITAs to graduates from Manitoba institutions.
MPNP Skilled Worker Overseas
Skilled Worker Overseas draws under Manitoba’s strategic recruitment drive issued 54 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency. The selected candidates had a minimum cut-off score of 724 points.
