Express Entry CRS Scores Hit a Record Low as Canada Reduces Processing Times Across Economic Immigration Categories
The latest Express Entry CRS scores show a record drop as the IRCC reduces processing times for economic immigration applications.

Canada is investing significantly to minimize the application backlog by reducing the processing times. The processing times for all Economic Immigration programs are showing a notable decline, according to recent data.

CRS thresholds drop to record low
The March 29 Express Entry draw invited candidates with minimum CRS scores of 481 and above. It is the lowest CRS cut-off over two years for all-programs Express Entry draws. The lower CRS score thresholds show that the time is perfect for immigrating to Canada permanently to start a new life.
The CRS scores for Express draws dropped to 481 points registering the lowest 2-year record. In March, the IRCC issued a large number of invitations to Apply (ITAs)- totalling 21,667 in a single month. IRCC deviated from the routine practice of two Express Entry draws in a month, as there were four draws in March 2023. The last three Express Entry draw averaged 7,000 ITAs.
