British Columbia Issues Invitations to 246 Candidates in the recent BC PNP Draw
The third draw of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program in February invites 246 candidates to apply for permanent residence.
The latest BC PNP draw included most candidates from Tech occupations. Candidates in skilled worker and international graduate categories received Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with minimum IRS scores of 101 and 103. The streams also included candidates with active Express Entry profiles.
The third BC PNP draw also issued ITAs to entry-level and semi-skilled candidates having minimum scores of 85. Candidates in International Graduates and Skilled Workers categories required a minimum score of 60 to receive ITAs. The latest BC PNP draw also invited healthcare workers, and early childhood educators, besides a few candidates from other in-demand occupations.
Total 203 ITAs in the following categories:
Skilled Worker – Minimum 101 points
Skilled Worker- EEBC Option – Minimum 101 points
International Graduate – Minimum 103 points
International Graduate EEBC Option – Minimum 103 points
Entry-level and Semi-skilled – Minimum 85 points
Canada’s provincial Nominee Programs
Canada’s federal and provincial governments operate Provincial Nominee Programs jointly. Various provinces nominate candidates for permanent residency by applying specific eligibility requirements to meet their economic, demographic, and labor market needs.
The nomination of candidates by respective provinces facilitates their integration into the provincial economy. The federal government approves the permanent residency of provincial nominees through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
